Get rid of RIB and SPINAL PAIN QUICKLy AND WITHOUT TAKING PAINKILLERS!
The rib cage has been poorly understood for many years. The pioneer of rib cage treatment has been Dr LJ Lee (Our clinic mentor). Some of our Physiotherapists assist Dr LJ Lee around the world teaching Physiotherapists how to treat the rib cage. All of our physiotherapists have done advanced training in the treatment of the rib cage.
What does this mean for you? If you are suffering from rib cage or spinal pain you know that you are experiencing the most advanced and research based treatment approach for getting you out of pain as soon as possible. We are commonly called the “rib physios”
Some of the common things we hear
“IT HURST TO BREATH SO BADLY!"
“I CAN’T GET COMFORTABLE IN BED AND IT'S AFFECTING MY SLEEP.”
“COUGHING, LAUGHING, BENDING... IT ALL HURTS!”
Maybe your pain was caused by doing something like lifting, gardening or high intensity training or maybe it was caused from years of poor posture.
What our Physio team can do for you:
Quickly take away your pain and stiffness within a couple of sessions through our hands on techniques and use of acupuncture needles that relax the muscles and loosen the joints to relieve your pain and quickly, tape acupuncture needles.
Tape the area to promote healing and get you back to your healthier self as soon as possible.
Help you understand the root cause of the pain. In certain cases we will film the way you move to explain why certain areas are stiff and sore.
Video Analysis of faulty movement patterns and posture.
Give you an exercise plan and teach you how to strengthen your problem area and long standing relief.
Help you sleep better by removing the pain that is giving you broken sleep.
Help you get back to living a pain free life and return to your healthy active lifestyle.
Tips to Prevent/TREAT YOUR INJURY:
If your rib pain is severe, bed rest may be needed, but if at all possible it should not be more than a day.
Avoid high impact activities but start light activities as soon as you can such as short walks. Slow movement is good!
Try to do most of the normal things you do at work and at home except heavy lifting or twisting may need to be modified.
You may find applying heat packs soothing in the first day or two.
Posture is very important. When you are sitting or standing, have your shoulders relaxed back and you should feel tall. Good posture allows your muscles and joints to work effectively. When sitting sit in a hard chair not the couch! Ideally with a rolled up towel in the small of your back for support
Avoid long periods of sitting or standing. Regularly change position and stretch often or get up and move frequently.
